2. Hoa Lo Prison

3. The Temple of Literature Van Mieu in Hanoi

Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam, founded in 1070, is considered Vietnam's earliest university. There are now preserved beers stoned by high-ranking connoisseurs under the regime. 

As one of the prominent Hanoi historical sites, the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is surrounded by four large brick walls, typical of the post-Le period, giving it an ancient and dignified atmosphere. Inside, ancient architectural roofs are nestled under lush foliage, creating a stark contrast with the exterior and a unique attraction for visitors. In front of Van Mieu, across from Quoc Tu Giam, lies Ho Van Lake. Previously, Kim Chau mound in the lake had a house for Confucian poetry ceremonies. Although the house no longer exists, stakes built in 1865 remain, documenting the renovation of the Temple of Literature.

1. War Remnants Museum

3. Cu Chi Tunnel

Cu Chi Tunnels is one of the city's most significant antiquities, providing firsthand experiences within the huge subterranean cave as well as fascinating insights into the lives of Vietnamese troops throughout the war. 

As one of the notable historical monuments in Vietnam, the Cu Chi Tunnels (Địa đạo Củ Chi in Vietnamese) are located in Cu Chi District, 70 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City's core. The subterranean networks are well preserved in two locations: Ben Dinh Tunnels (Ben Dinh Hamlet, Nhuan Duc Commune) and Ben Duoc Tunnels (Phu Hiep Hamlet, Phu My Hung Commune). The Cu Chi tunnels, a sophisticated subterranean network, were built during the French colonial era and then expanded during the Vietnam War. The Viet Cong used these subterranean tunnels for communication, supply transportation, and cover when conducting guerilla operations.

Nowadays, the Con Dao Prison system is no longer used to imprison or persecute people; instead, it is available to visitors who want to express their gratitude for the country's sacrifice. Visiting the Con Dao Prison Complex is a good method to feel the prisoners' severe, harsh, and tough punishments, while it can be upsetting and uncomfortable.

3. Hue Imperial Citadel
