What happens if my Vietnam e-Visa application is denied?

If your Vietnam e-visa application is denied, you will be required to reapply for a new visa. Your visa will mostly be issued if you apply on the website of the Vietnam Immigration Services. The rate of visa refusal is extremely low. However, such a case may happen for specific reasons. Therefore, you should be aware of these notices so that the Government can approve your visa application easier:

  • Fill in the application form with the complete or correct information: If the applicant has provided incomplete or inaccurate information on their application form, it may lead to the denial of the e-Visa. Examples of incorrect details may include an incomplete full name, misspelled name, incorrect order of the full name, an incorrect date of birth, or a passport number that does not match the application.
  • Meet eligibility requirements: Ensure that you meet all the eligibility requirements, such as having a valid passport, and that you meet the purpose of the visit. An e visa is only available to those visiting Vietnam for tourism purposes.
