Which Airports Accept Vietnam eVisa Entry?
Not all airports in Vietnam accept e-visa entry. Only specific international airports approved by immigration authorities allow entry with a valid e-visa. However, just like land borders, make sure the entry checkpoint on your e-visa matches your arrival airport.

Essential Tips for Airport Entry
The "Port Matching" Rule: If your E-visa says "Noi Bai" (Hanoi) but you find a cheaper flight to "Tan Son Nhat" (Ho Chi Minh City), you cannot use that visa at a different airport. You would need to apply for a new one or change your flight to match the visa.
Airlines Check: Your airline will check your E-visa at the departure gate. If the destination airport on your ticket doesn't match the port on your E-visa, you may be asked to clarify your visa details or adjust your travel plans.
Convenience: Airports like Tan Son Nhat (HCMC), Noi Bai (Hanoi), and Da Nang are the most commonly used due to better international flight connections.
Is Long Thanh Airport open for international flights?
Not yet. Long Thanh International Airport is still under construction. You cannot use this airport for international entry at this time.
Can I change my arrival airport after getting my e-visa?
Changing your arrival airport is risky. Changing your arrival airport is not officially supported. You should follow the entry checkpoint stated on your e-visa or apply for a new one if your plans change. It is better to reapply with the correct airport.
Do I need a separate visa for Phu Quoc if I have an e-visa?
No. If you have a valid e-visa, you can enter Phu Quoc directly. However, Phu Quoc also offers 30-day visa-free entry if you fly directly to the island and stay only there.
How far in advance should I apply for an e-visa?
Apply at least 2-3 weeks before travel. Processing usually takes a few working days, but timelines can vary depending on application volume and official processing conditions.
