Do UAE residents need travel insurance to Vietnam?
No, Travel Insurance is not required as a Vietnam entry requirement for UAE residents. There is no need for self-isolation, and all requirements for SARS-CoV-2 testing in advance of the arrival will be temporarily postponed. UAE travelers need to follow the following guideline for a secure trip to Vietnam:
- The Vietnamese Government temporarily suspended pre-entry Covid test requirements from May 15th, 2022.
- Travelers are not required to quarantine upon arrival
- Within 10 days before their departure: UAE travelers are advised to self-monitor their health. If they have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost sense of smell; pain, headache; diarrhea; difficulty breathing; respiratory inflammation...), they must immediately notify the nearest medical facility for instructions.
Although it is not mandatory, UAE passport holders should purchase a travel insurance plan to ensure a secure trip to Vietnam. This is not to mention travel insurance will help their visa application be approved by the Vietnamese Government easier.
